Grace and Julie (11-22-06): Longtime reader Julie felt that the picture we had up of her and Grace needed updating: "That picture is really old. Grace has WAY shorter hair now and i have blonde dreadlocks."

So she sent us a new one, adding: "On another note, I finally got an urge to read again and I FINALLY picked up Nicole of Prie Mer....  WOW!!  Thats honestly all I can say is WOW!  I laughed I cried, I got girly.  I'm about half way done with it but I seriously can't put it down. ( I stayed up until 3 am last night reading, and I plan on doing this until the entire series is done!)  And I'm eager to get to the next books... :)  Grace keeps making fun of me that it took me so long to actually read it, and I in turn kick myself in the butt emotionally."

We want to tell her, Don't hurt yourself, Jules.

The Usual Suspects (9-24-06):

Could any of these nice, normal-looking Oklahomans--Jeanne, Marie, Christy, Marilyn (with the deadly ball), Marv, or adorable children Jarod, Michaela, and Austin--be responsible for the collage of elbows below?? We'll never tell.

More Random Photos:

Robin's son-in-law, David, is a multitalented guy who enjoys (among other things) BMX biking and restoring his 1972 VW Beetle. Here, David and friend Tyler take a break from working on his Beetle to jump it.

You'll read a lot about our ugly dog, Buddy, on Robin's blog. See our other two dogs: Frodo here and Ginger here.

Crab Feast (10-19-05): Reader Sancia and her mom Sabina enjoy a crab feast (in landlocked Nebraska, courtesy of an aunt in Oregon). Sancia said, "The feast of crabs the Lystrans enjoyed the first night in Prie Mer [in Prisoners of Hope] made me long to quietly slip unobserved into a dark corner and join them.  I love seafood and when I was a little girl my mom taught me how to dismember lobster and crab with just my bare hands."
