An e-mail mix-up led to Robin's first communication with actor Victor Lundin. When she realized she was talking to the "first Klingon on Star Trek" she admittedly got a little goofy. A deal was struck whereupon Robin would send Victor a couple of books and he would send her To Be Determined Material (including something autographed, according to Robin's stipulations).

Everybody kept his end of the deal. Robin sent a copy of Streiker's Bride and Chataine's Guardian, but Victor outdid her with The Theory of Everything DVD, 2 CDs ("There's No Shortcut to Heaven" and "Victor Lundin: The Storyteller") AND this 8x10 autographed pic:

Victor's a talented guy. His nuanced, multi-faceted performance in The Theory of Everything earned him a 2006 Emmy® nomination. But he is also a singer and songwriter whose music is beautiful. Listen to a sample here.

So, Robin wishes to express her appreciation to Victor for the entertainment—and that she is totally ordering Robinson Crusoe on Mars.

8-20-07 Update:

In a fit of crazy wonderful generosity, Victor sent Robin the following autographed photos from his amazing career (much of the information below was taken from his Filmography):

RC on Mars

Above: Vic as the alien "Friday" in the 1964
sci-fi film Robinson Crusoe on Mars

Batman Chief SP
voyage
Batman Octopus

In two recurring roles on the TV show "Batman": "Chief Standing Pat" and "Octopus" (1966-68)

Babylon 5

As "The Lobster Man" in TV's "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" (1968
--great makeup, no?) and "Psi Corps Official" in "Babylon 5" (1997)

Fatal Kiss

And here's a natty Vic as "Professor Van Helsing" in the 2002 horror short Fatal Kiss.

One other item Robin received was too large to scan, so we had to photograph it in its place of honor over her computer. Below is an autographed poster of  Vic in his role as a Klingon lieutenant to Commander Kor (John Colicos). This original "Star Trek" episode, titled "Errand of Mercy," first aired March 23, 1967. As the Robinson Crusoe article above noted, Vic's character was the first Klingon to appear in Star Trek.
